Our City Director role

It’s a really exciting time to be joining this beautiful and historical city. There is a big and pacey agenda internally as we transform the City Council as well as delivering well for our local communities.

I plan to use my experience and love of Bristol to create a happier, healthier and more connected city.

Working with me, you’ll help shape, develop and deliver a vision to create a more sustainable city. As Mayor I aim to build an integrated approach to regenerate and develop the city I have real passion for.

Prosperity, skills and jobs need creating alongside giving our communities more responsibility and resources to unleash their energy and talent.

The City Director role is essential to the future success of the city. You will work closely with me and the wider Council providing the strategic leadership to the Council’s workforce that ensures delivery of this vision.

If you are a proven senior leader with a good mix of business acumen and political acumen you might be the one for us.

You’ll need to consider our organisational model to ensure it is right to develop the vision alongside working with staff setting and ensuring delivery of exacting performance expectations.
